SSL connection issue DB

Details

After installing RCS on Master Node and Collector, collector logs show warnings/errors about the communication with the DB:

2014-11-19 06:52:13 -0600 [ERROR]: Error logging in: OpenSSL::SSL::SSLError SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate verify failed
2014-11-19 06:52:13 -0600 [ERROR]: Cannot login to DB
2014-11-19 06:52:13 -0600 [WARN]: Database connection failed, using local cache...
2014-11-19 06:52:13 -0600 [INFO]: Empty global signature, cannot continue. Waiting 10 seconds and retry...

Instructions

Follow this procedure:

1. regenerate the CA and the SSL certificates from the Master Node, with the commands:

• rcs-db-config -G
• rcs-db-config -g

2. from the Collector, stop RCS services and download the new signatures:

• rcs-collector-config -s -u [admin] -p [password]
• rcs-collector-config -t -u [admin] -p [password]

3. restart RCS services on the Collector and everything will work fine.
