This is because DriverInst.exe detects what OS (32/64 bit) it is running on and automatically launches DriverInst64.exe if a 64-bit OS is detected. Troubleshooting: If you notice any problems after running DriverInst to install drivers for your device, try running DriverInst with the uninstall option ('-r') before running it again to re-install your drivers.
